Asia Pacific Adventure – Athletes (part of APA Group) is an agency dedicated to helping and advising Asian athletes in the sports of adventure racing and trail running.
We have a long history of representing, advising, and managing world-class Asian athletes, and have worked with brands ranging from The North Face, Specialized Bikes, Salomon, Garmin, Coros, Hammer Nutrition, Suunto, IBIS Cycles, SRAM, Princeton Tec lights and more.
We are based in Hong Kong and have experience working across Asia Pacific including Mainland China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Philippines. For 18 years we also managed the top adventure sports team in Asia, The North Face Adventure Team.
Our athletes have won numerous top Asian events, as well as, reached the top 10 of World Championship events in 3 sports -including: 6th at Ultra Trail Mount Blanc (UTMB), 4th at Adventure Race World Championships, and the 2nd fastest time in history (and 2nd female overall) at the UTMB-CCC.

Ryan, originally from the USA, is one of Asia’s adventure sports pioneers across many areas of the outdoor industry including event management, outdoor education, skills training, film production and much more. He was previously one of Asia’s top adventure sport athletes, as well as, Founder and Director of The North Face Adventure Team and APA Group (www.APA.co). In 2024, after 18 years of managing the first and #1 pro adventure sports & trail running team in Asia, Ryan transitioned the team into Asia’s leading athlete and media agency. The focus now of APA Athletes is to help represent and develop top Athletes, as well as, work with leading brands and events to maximise their media and engagement value in the outdoor industry.
Ryan has won numerous trail running events in Asia including Hong Kong’s MoonTrekker, Thailand’s The North Face 50, and is a 4 for 4 podium finisher of the world’s largest 100km team footrace – Oxfam Trailwalker.
Ryan is also one of the most decorated adventure racers (mountain bike/trail run/kayak) in Asia with countless elite race wins, including Action Asia Challenge six times. In addition, Ryan has captained his team to a yellow jersey and multiple stage podiums in the world’s most competitive stage adventure race, Wu Long International Mountain Quest, as well as, 11th overall in the 2018 Expedition Adventure Race World Championships.
