Foundation Navigation

This 1 day workshop introduces you to the art of navigating in the outdoors. We will start with the basics and build a sound grounding for participants, enabling you to have a clear understanding of map & compass usage, six figure grid references, contours, 3d to 2d referencing, etc.

Building on the navigation 1 workshop, participants in this one day and evening course will gain further knowledge in the art of navigating and develop a keen eye to referencing the land to the map and vice versa. Further use of the compass, bearings and triangulation will be explored, as well as, an insight into micro / night navigation.
