WhereMonkey Buttress, Braemar Hill

What they’ll doMission briefing and team-lead roles, then rock climbing and bouldering on graded routes, and a survival skills workshop: shelter basics, fire safety and water filtration. Team leads brief their crew for the day, facilitators coach every climb from the first moves up, and the workshop moves from theory to hands-on practice.

What they’ll take from itTechnical climbing skill and real outdoor know-how.

WhereChung Hom Kok technical site

What they’ll doBuddy gear checks, a timed Tyrolean team relay, and an abseil with a “rescue buddy” twist. The relay pits teams against the clock without cutting corners on safety, and the rescue-buddy abseil means every camper looks out for a partner as well as themselves.

What they’ll take from itPushing personal limits and trusting the team under pressure.

WhereNong Ping Shan, Sai Kung

What they’ll doAdventurers lead a longer route up through the bamboo forest, build and fly kites at the summit, then build and manage their own campfire, with hot chocolate, a reflection on the week and a card for home. On the way up they learn to navigate, reading the map and leading the group along the trail themselves. For the campfire, teams use knots and lashings to build their own structure over the fire and boil the water for their celebratory winter hot chocolate, with a fire-safety supervisor alongside.

What they’ll take from itLeadership, and putting Day 1’s fire-safety skills into practice.
