NZOIA training

New Zealand’s Leading outdoor training and certification organization continues collaboration with APA in 2009.

Asia Pacific Adventure was pleased to have two of New Zealand’s outdoor training legends, Ray Button and Don Patterson, recently in Hong Kong to continue collaboration with our company. Ray and Don have been delivering NZOIA (New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association) training programs with Asia Pacific Adventure now for 3 years, helping to develop the skills and instruction level of our team.

Stuart Sharpless, Director of Training & Operations, said “Our company is committed to helping push forward and improve the level of standards and outdoor instruction in our organization further and our association with NZOIA helps us achieve these goals....this is especially exciting because we are one of first outdoor companies outside New Zealand to collaborate in this way with NZOIA.”

The New Zealand Outdoor Instructor’s Association was established in 1986,to promotes excellence in outdoor instruction through qualifications for professionals. NZOIA is internationally recognized as the leading professional body for outdoor instructors and trainees in New Zealand, and administers a nationally recognized award scheme for bush, alpine, abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, sea kayaking and caving.
