Stone finishes 2nd place in 250km International Gobi March

Stone in GobiIn his first multiday desert foot race, Stone pulled off one of the most incredible performances of his life, finishing in 2nd place in the Gobi March this past June. Competing against a field of 173 competitors from 26 countries and running in one of the harshest natural regions on the planet, just finishing the 6 day race is hard enough. Running between 40-80km each day, Stone battled with several world-class athletes including top South African and Chile endurance runners, as well as, ultra-running legend and fellow North Face Athlete Dean Karnazes from the USA, who finished in 4th place.Stone with Ryan Sandres

The mountains around Kashgar and the ancient Silk Road formed the backdrop for the event which also saw team member Kai Wai finish a respectable 12th place despite a foot injury that plagued him throughout the race.

Congrats to both both Stone and Ka Wai for a huge personal and team achievement and we are sure an experience they will never forget.
