Athlete team takes 2 podiums in Asia's biggest Trail Running event!
Stone      Podium

Champion System Adventure team athletes, Stone Tsang and Klayten Smith have reached the podium in Asia's biggest trail running event, The North Face 100. The event, staged outside Beijing and starting on the Great Wall of China, saw over 8,000 participants tackle 3 different race courses. Stone came in 3rd place in an amazing 9 hours 35 minutes in the 100km event, while Klayten took 2nd in the 50 km competition.

In other recent news, team member Ryan S. Blair also reached the podium in the Philippines biggest annual trail running event, also organized and sponsored by The North Face. The result did not come easy as the Baguio course was one of the toughest 50km races on the planet with crazy steep technical 4,000 ft climbs and descents, and Ryan had to deal with a sprained ankle from the 25km turnaround point.

Its been a busy month for the team with international adventure races also in China and Philippines that saw top 5 finishes against some of the worlds fastest teams. Special mention to new member Saman Gunan for a solid performance in his first international race in Guangxi, and to Marites Bitbit who is running & kayaking again after a long break from adventure racing due to National Cycling Team duties…. And to Piers Touzel who came out of his one year sabbatical to place first amongst international teams in a wild and crazy 20 hour mountain stage race in Mindanao.
